TECH Clean California Status
Single-family heat pump HVAC incentives CLOSED November 14, 2025 - no new reservations accepted. Only pre-approved HEEHRA income-verified households can still claim rebates (must complete installation by Dec 31, 2025).
Equipment Requirements
To qualify for rebates, equipment must meet specific efficiency standards:
- Heat Pumps: ≥15.2 SEER2, ≥7.8 HSPF2 (ENERGY STAR Most Efficient for federal credit)
- Central AC: ≥16 SEER2, ≥12 EER2
- Furnaces: ≥97% AFUE
- Heat Pump Water Heaters: CEE highest tier
How to Stack Rebates
Most rebate programs can be combined. For example, a Santa Clara County resident installing a heat pump could receive: Federal Tax Credit ($2,000) + SVCE Heat Pump Rebate ($2,500) + Panel Upgrade ($1,000) = $5,500+ total savings. We'll help you maximize your combined savings.
